Community
People First. Always
Community isn’t a program for us, it’s the way we work. At Salad Skills, community begins with our people. When our team feels valued, happy and fulfilled, they show up with their best for our customers, our training providers, the apprentices we place and the organisations we partner with.
What We Stand For
We started Salad Skills in 2012 to be a great place to work - purpose-driven, principled and practical. That remains true today. Our values are simple:
-
People & wellbeing: We prioritise a working environment where our team can thrive.
-
Education & development: We are committed to meaningful learning and professional growth for apprentices, our team and clients alike.
-
Integrity: We do the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest option.
-
Partnership: We work with like-minded organisations, from SMEs and schools to larger employers, who share our respect for people and learning.
How We Invest In Community
We believe community is action. Here are the practical ways we contribute:
-
Supporting local communities: We volunteer time, expertise and energy in ways that matter locally.
-
Discounted recruitment for schools: We offer reduced recruitment rates to schools hiring apprenticeship staff because investing in the next generation should be easier.
-
Work experience & part-time opportunities: We offer work experience placements and part-time job opportunities for young people still at school, helping them gain confidence, real-world skills and insight into the world of work.
Who We Work With
We partner with organisations that share our values - small, medium and large businesses and organisations, schools, charities and training providers. When we say quality, we mean partners who are learner-centric and committed to positive, sustainable outcomes - not just compliance. We work with training providers who care deeply about people, progression and long-term impact.
Our Promise
We promise to act with care and consistency. That means transparent conversations, fair pricing and training recommendations that equip people to flourish, not just to tick boxes.
